In 1977, Richard Vandresteen started it all with the Model 2. It was the first model with which he broke into the audio market (Model 1 was released only towards 1984).
The 3A Signature is larger than the 2Ce Signature II and goes deeper in bass. Prior to the arrival of the Quatro in 2006, the 3A Signature alone bridged between the model 2 and model 5, then Vandersteen’s flagship speaker.
The Quatro Wood CT is a true full-range speaker combining several Vandersteen technologies. As with the Treo CT, ‘CT’ represents Carbon Tweeter of the famous 5A model.
The Treo CT is a four-way floorstanding speaker. The characters CT represent carbon tweeter, also a unique development of Vandersteen and comes to the Treo CT from the Model 5A – once the flagship speaker of Vandersteen.
The accuracy, detail, transparency, speed and dynamics that this speaker can set a performance bar that will challenge much more expensive speakers.
This is a big and powerful loudspeaker that requires a large room. Under the right conditions, this is a musical paradise.
