The 1Ci is the entry level model of Vandersteen speakers. The 2Ce Signature II’s “little brother” is a two-way speakers, very easy to drive and works wonderfully in small rooms.
Vandersteen Audio: Time- and phase- Accurate Loudspeakers
Richard Vandersteen began designing and building loudspeakers in the early 1970s. From an in-depth study, from the very beginning, Vanderstein concluded that the use of a first-order cross-over (where the overlap of the dynamic units is maximal) provides the most natural and musical results. All of Vanderstein’s speakers are time- and-phase-accurate, which means that the sound components produced from the various dynamic units are synchronized so that they are produced at the same time and at the same phase. An approach that combines these features is quite rare among speaker manufacturers today, and Richard Vandersteen is one of the flagship carriers, if not the leading one.

Minimal-baffle cabinets, bi-wiring, resonance-reducing spiked feet, battery-biased crossovers, active subwoofers with a unique way of integrating them into existing systems, speakers with active units – these are just a few of the innovations of Richard Vandresteen over the years.

Model 2ce Signature II
In 1977, Richard Vandresteen started it all with the Model 2. It was the first model with which he broke into the audio market (Model 1 was released only towards 1984).
Model 3A Signature
The 3A Signature is larger than the 2Ce Signature II and goes deeper in bass. Prior to the arrival of the Quatro in 2006, the 3A Signature alone bridged between the model 2 and model 5, then Vandersteen’s flagship speaker.
Treo CT
The Treo CT is a four-way floorstanding speaker. The characters CT represent carbon tweeter, also a unique development of Vandersteen and comes to the Treo CT from the Model 5A – once the flagship speaker of Vandersteen.
Quatro Wood CT
The Quatro Wood CT is a true full-range speaker combining several Vandersteen technologies. As with the Treo CT, ‘CT’ represents Carbon Tweeter of the famous 5A model.
