Class A Single-Ended Power Amplifier
The Achilles is a SET (Single Ended Triode), Class A, zero feedback amplifier in mono-block configuration. It can be ordered with either 300B or 2A3 tubes. Apart from the different sonic nature between the two types of tubes, the power in the case of 300B is 8 watts per channel, while with 2A3 we get 3 watts per channel. Obviously, the Achilles will not fit every speaker, but for a “SET friendly” (sensitive enough) speaker, it will amaze you at its performance.
